// SADIE'S BEHIND THE IMAGE //

Ahh man I love this image, I knew it when I shot it I was going to love it. I think mostly the energy I felt right before I pressed the shutter button was the pinnacle moment.

This was an image from 2019, It was Ben & Alicias first dance. I had been shooting from floor level for most of the time, there was a level above me which I knew I could shoot from, so up I zipped full speed, I took a few shots, I knew I had a little time left so I decided just to take it in a little without looking through my camera, just watching everyone embracing and glancing over at the couple with those soft stares. Then the song finished and I felt this wave of emotion hit me, naturally composing my frame I desired to capture it.

I suppose you could say, Sadie but its at the end of the dance mate! But it's much more than that. I wanted this image to not only hold the emotion of the couple... but everyone around them that they love. I decided to shoot with a wide angle perspective. If you start to study the image you will find little stories start to unfold. The beauty of it is that you see many different human reactions and connections. You start to wonder what were they thinking or doing just before the song came to an end. at what minute and second of that song did everyone naturally start to turn their attention and emotional toward the couple.

I always love a first dance, its a really emotional time within a wedding where people come together on the dance floor and are entwined with the vibrations of beating music and beatings of hearts.

Thanks for reading, next time your on the dance floor, ya might see me on the ceiling
